Wonik Robotics Signs Business Agreement with Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Construction for Robot Delivery Solution Implementation

[Asia Economy Reporter Kum Boryeong] Korea Technology is launching the development and supply of unmanned delivery solutions.

Korea Technology announced on the 22nd that it has signed a business agreement with Wonik Robotics and Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Construction to introduce smart unmanned robot delivery solutions for high-rise buildings.

Wonik Robotics, a service robot technology specialist company, is responsible for developing software for unmanned delivery robots in high-rise buildings. They are building a robot operation system that enables horizontal and vertical movement of parcels and goods. Wonik Robotics is known to possess robot technology operating at Incheon Airport and Changwon NC Park.

A Korea Technology official explained, "Once this technology is actually applied and an autonomous unmanned delivery system capable of horizontal and vertical movement is established, delivery workers only need to leave parcels at designated reception points, and the parcels will be automatically delivered to homes. Users will be able to receive their packages at their desired time."

Korea Technology, the official distributor of Xiaomi, is in charge of developing and distributing Internet of Things (IoT) services for smart unmanned delivery solutions. Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Construction plans to apply smart delivery systems from the design stage of buildings or apartments under construction to provide unmanned parcel delivery services to residents.
