Support of up to 5 million KRW per store for 50 stores until the end of July
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Pohang City, Gyeongbuk announced on the 18th that it is recruiting participating businesses for the 'Management Environment Improvement Project' until the 30th to strengthen the self-sustainability of small business owners struggling due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
For small business owners who have been in operation for more than six months, 50 stores will receive support covering 50% of facility improvement costs, up to a maximum of 5 million KRW. Detailed support includes production of promotional materials, signboard replacement, interior improvements, safety or hygiene-related equipment, and purchase of POS system devices and programs. Lee Deok-hee, Director of the Job Economy and Labor Division of Pohang City, stated, "We will do our best to revitalize the depressed local commercial districts by promoting various projects such as this one, the employment insurance support project for one-person small business owners, and the vacant store rent support project."
Meanwhile, in the 2019 Small Business Small-scale Management Environment Improvement Project, 349 million KRW was supported for 83 stores.
