According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 16th, an elementary school student sisters living with the couple in their 60s who tested positive, and a resident of Hanul Nursing Home were newly confirmed positive and classified as cases 174 to 176.
Cases 174 and 175 are sisters attending 5th and 3rd grade respectively at Munhwa Elementary School in Buk-gu, living with case 172.
Due to the elevation to social distancing level 2 and the closure of elementary, middle, and high schools in Buk-gu, they have not attended school since the 2nd and have been taking remote classes.
Both sisters visited Cheomdan Ocean Spa in Wolgye-dong, Gwangsan-gu at 7 PM on the 14th.
Case 175 briefly stopped at school in her mother's car between 10:20 and 10:40 AM on the 14th. She was wearing a mask at the time, and her temperature was normal according to the thermal camera.
Additionally, she visited the Pediatric Department at Eden Hospital in Duam-dong, Buk-gu at around 4:50 PM on the 15th.
Case 176, an woman in her 80s, is a resident of Hanul Nursing Home who tested positive during a pre-release test while under self-quarantine, with no movement history.
Meanwhile, since the second wave of COVID-19 began on the 27th of last month, 143 people in Gwangju have been confirmed positive.
By infection route, 41 are related to Gwangju Sarang Church, 32 to Geumyang Officetel, 28 to Ilgok Central Church, 14 to Gwangju Gosi Academy, 13 to the Badminton Club, 8 to Gwangneuksa Temple, 5 are imported cases, and 2 are under investigation.
By age group, there are 4 under 10 years old, 5 teenagers, 6 in their 20s, 9 in their 30s, 18 in their 40s, 31 in their 50s, 41 in their 60s, 18 in their 70s, 8 in their 80s, and 4 in their 90s.
