"Hope the Healing Power of Art Reaches the People Weary from COVID-19..."
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Arts Management Support Center announced on the 16th that actor couple Kim Mu-yeol and Yoon Seung-ah have been appointed as promotional ambassadors for the ‘2020 Art Week.’ A representative stated, “We focused on the artistic influence Kim Mu-yeol and Yoon Seung-ah have on the public, their healthy family image, and their love and enjoyment of art,” adding, “We hope they will effectively convey the message that ‘art is a part of every individual’s life.’”
Kim Mu-yeol and Yoon Seung-ah said, “We hope that the healing power of art reaches the people exhausted by the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).” They will participate in promotional activities to raise awareness of Art Week, including official video shoots.
Now in its sixth year, Art Week is the largest art event nationwide, involving national, public, and private art museums, galleries, and nonprofit exhibition spaces across the country. Approximately 230 art institutions are offering free admission and discounts under the slogan “Your Life is Art.” Special programs include art tours across seven regional zones nationwide and an integrated pass that allows viewing of biennales and art fairs with a single ticket.
