Daegu, 2 Uzbekistan Arrivals Test Positive for COVID-19... There have been no COVID-19 infections through community transmission for 12 consecutive days since the 4th.


According to Daegu City on the 16th, as of 0:00 that day, the number of confirmed cases increased by 2 from the previous day to 6,929. The death toll stands at 185, and the number of recovered patients is 6,820 (97.1%) after 3 patients were discharged the previous day.


The two additional confirmed cases on the previous day (15th) were tested at the Dongdaegu Station walk-through screening clinic after arriving from Uzbekistan on the 14th, and were finally confirmed positive on the 15th. They were admitted to Daegu Medical Center.


Including them, among the 18 confirmed patients currently under isolation treatment in Daegu, 16 are hospitalized in three hospitals nationwide, 1 is in a residential treatment center, and the remaining 1 is under self-quarantine.
