"'Hanbam' Former Manager of Shin Hyun-joon: 'I Quit Because They Said They Wouldn't Provide 4 Major Insurances or Welfare'"

[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Seul-gi] Another manager who worked with the former manager claiming to have been subjected to 'gapjil' by actor Shin Hyun-joon has expressed their position.

On the 15th, SBS's 'Bon-gyeok Entertainment Night' covered the controversy surrounding Shin Hyun-joon's manager gapjil. During the broadcast, the production team met with former manager Kim, who revealed that he had been subjected to gapjil by Shin Hyun-joon for 13 years to the point of contemplating death, and another manager who worked with him from 2015 to 2016.

He identified himself as the person wearing a mask in the text messages released by former manager Kim, saying, "I was a bit angry when I saw those messages. When I said I was wearing a mask because I caught a cold and might infect others, Hyun-joon hyung said, 'Take your medicine and take good care of your health,' but behind my back, he badmouthed me to CEO Kim. I was very disappointed."

When asked if he ran personal errands for Shin Hyun-joon's mother, he confessed, "I ran errands to the market, fetched various things around the neighborhood, and was often asked to pick her up."

He added, "I asked for welfare benefits and the four major insurances, but was told no, so I quit. While I was at the company, my salary was being delayed," and revealed, "When I talked to Hyun-joon hyung, he said, 'I give your salaries to the company,' and CEO Kim said, 'Hyun-joon hyung is not paying.' I don't know which is true."

Previously, Shin Hyun-joon was embroiled in allegations of gapjil by former manager Kim. Kim revealed, "I was subjected to verbal abuse and mistreatment by Shin Hyun-joon for 13 years. During the first two years of work, I was paid only 600,000 won per month."

Shin Hyun-joon's agency, HJ Film, responded to Kim's allegations on the 13th, stating, "We will hold legally responsible those who spread false information blindly," and added, "If Shin Hyun-joon has anything to apologize for, it is deeply regretting and feeling sorry for having trusted and worked with such a person as a friend in the past."
