SK Gas Opens First Eco Station Hybrid Charging Station

SK Gas Opens First Eco Station Hybrid Charging Station

[Asia Economy Reporter Park So-yeon] SK Gas has begun operating the eco-friendly complex refueling station 'Eco Station.'

On the 16th, SK Gas announced the opening of the first Eco Station at the SK Haengbok Charging Nonhyeon Station located in Namdong-gu, Incheon. This new refueling station model adds hydrogen refueling capabilities to the existing LPG refueling service and expands complex facilities such as the premium self-service car wash 'Washholic Park' and an advanced unmanned CU convenience store.

The company stated that it plans to develop the Eco Station into a kind of complex cultural space that leads the era of eco-friendly vehicles such as hydrogen and LPG cars, providing various experiences and communication centered around cars. Reflecting the satisfaction and demands of drivers using the first station, SK Gas plans to install 2 to 3 additional stations this year and expand the network in earnest starting next year.

The Incheon Nonhyeon Station transformed into an eco-friendly refueling station after establishing the 'H Incheon Hydrogen Refueling Station,' the first hydrogen refueling facility in Incheon, in collaboration with Hyundai Motor Company in November last year. Currently, the number of hydrogen refueling customers exceeds 40 per day on average, steadily increasing convenience for hydrogen vehicle drivers in Incheon and the western metropolitan area.

Additionally, by recently adding the premium self-service car wash 'Washholic Park,' covering approximately 3,100㎡, and the advanced unmanned CU convenience store facilities, the station has become a car landmark among young drivers in the Incheon area.

An SK Gas official said, "The Nonhyeon Station, transformed into the 'Eco Station' to meet the rising expectations of customers, will serve as a catalyst to change the image of existing LPG refueling stations. After the complete abolition of LPG user regulations, we plan to expand our range by providing differentiated and diverse services to the broader customer base."
