The hackers demanded that people send them Bitcoin, promising to double the amount through tweets posted via the hacked accounts. It is estimated that the hackers exploited Musk's Twitter account, which has 37 million followers, for financial fraud.
The hacking on this day targeted not only individuals such as Musk and Gates but also corporate Twitter accounts like Apple and Uber.
