'Dobong-gu Youth Job Cafe' Online Operation

Operation of Non-Face-to-Face Transition Using Real-Time Online Lecture Program... Support for Various Programs Including Customized Job/Company Analysis (1:1, 1:Many), Mock Interviews, English Resume Writing and Editing

Dobong-gu, young adults are attending a special employment lecture at Dobong Cultural Information Library. (April 15, 2019)

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dobong-gu (Mayor Dongjin Lee) will operate the ‘2020 Dobong-gu Youth Job Cafe’ online from July to December to support young job seekers.

The ‘Dobong-gu Youth Job Cafe’ is a project designed to provide job seekers with customized employment support services and various employment programs to offer practical help in finding jobs.

To prevent COVID-19, the district supports youth employment through non-face-to-face programs using real-time online lecture programs.

The detailed programs include ▲Customized job and company analysis (1:1, 1:many) ▲Mock interviews with current interviewers ▲Writing and editing English resumes for foreign companies ▲Styling techniques that increase chances of acceptance ▲Mentoring parties inviting various industry professionals to freely discuss job-related topics ▲Customized mentoring for study groups.

All program participation fees are free. Young people who wish to participate in the programs can search for ‘Dobong-gu Job Cafe’ on the Seoul Job Portal and reserve their program application.

In addition, the district operates an unmanned comprehensive information kiosk system on-site where young people can directly check various recruitment information, public recruitment schedules, and interview information to support non-face-to-face employment amid the COVID-19 situation.

The district has operated a total of three job cafes: ▲Dobong Cultural Information Library (315 Deokneung-ro, Dobong-gu) ▲Zero Gravity Zone Dobong (Exit 1, Chang-dong Station, Line 4) ▲Dobong-gu Citizens’ Hall (inside Dobong-gu Office), but they are currently closed due to COVID-19.

The district plans to reopen them depending on the COVID-19 situation in the future.

Mayor Dongjin Lee of Dobong-gu said, “We fully empathize with the practical difficulties our youth are experiencing,” and added, “We will continue to actively promote various youth support projects to resolve youth unemployment.”
