Promotion of 'Social Distancing in Daily Life' through Banners at 30 Locations Including 16 Districts and Major Intersections by August...Guidance on Summer Personal Hygiene Rules and Vacation Mask-Wearing Photo Event Also Held
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) has actively launched a campaign to ensure residents can enjoy a safe summer vacation as the peak holiday season begins.
Jungnang-gu announced that it will post informational placards at a total of 30 locations, including 16 neighborhoods and major intersections, until August to encourage residents to practice "social distancing in daily life," such as adhering to personal hygiene rules during the summer.
This is due to the increasing concern over infections amid the recent sporadic local COVID-19 outbreaks and the nationwide rise in travel during the vacation season.
The placards feature friendly phrases like "Kids, let's go on a summer trip~" and "Mom, did you bring your mask? Where's the hand sanitizer?" along with distancing guidelines such as "Stay home for 3-4 days if you feel sick," "Keep a healthy distance of two arm lengths," and "Wash hands for 30 seconds, cough into your sleeve."
Ryu Kyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, said, "It is easy to become complacent during the summer vacation, but this is a time when we must not lose our vigilance. I hope everyone continues to practice social distancing in daily life for the safety of themselves, their neighbors, and the community."
The district will also hold a "Vacation Spot Mask Wearing Certification Photo Event" from the 18th to August 23rd. Residents who upload photos of themselves safely enjoying their vacation while wearing masks on social media will be entered into a drawing to win prizes, including masks, with a total of 58 winners.
