A man in his 70s seriously injured in a fire at Goheung Yunho21 Hospital dies during treatment

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kim Chunsu] Jeonnam Goheung Public Health Center announced on the 15th that Mr. A, a man in his 70s who was seriously injured in a fire that occurred at Goheung Yunho21 Hospital on the 10th, died while receiving treatment at the hospital.

Mr. A inhaled smoke during the fire and was receiving hospital treatment when he passed away on this day. Including Mr. A, the death toll from the Yunho21 Hospital fire has risen to four.

Currently, six critically ill patients are undergoing inpatient treatment, and among them, one is reported to be in critical condition.

The fire that occurred at Goheung Yunho21 Hospital at around 3:42 a.m. on the 10th resulted in four deaths and 26 people sustaining various injuries.

When the rescue team arrived at the fire scene, two women in their 60s were found dead near the stairs on the 2nd and 3rd floors of Yunho21 Hospital, respectively.

An 80-year-old woman who was rescued by the rescue team and transferred to the hospital also died during treatment, causing sorrow in the community.

The police and fire authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fire and whether there were any violations of safety regulations.
