[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ga-yeon] Director Lee Ok-seop and actor Koo Kyo-hwan have been in a relationship for seven years.


Koo Kyo-hwan's agency, Namoo Actors, stated on the 15th, "The two have been seeing each other since 2013, continuing their relationship for seven years."


Koo and Director Lee are known to have started as colleagues and later developed into a romantic relationship.


The two have also worked closely as creative partners, producing films together. They have built their unique artistic world through collaborations on short films such as "4th Grade Bo-kyung," "Girls on Top," and "Three," as well as the feature film "Maggie."


They run a film production company and a YouTube channel named "2X9HD," a name derived by taking one character from each of their names.


Meanwhile, Koo Kyo-hwan debuted in 2008 with the film "Children" and established himself as a star in the independent film scene through various works. He won several awards including the Best New Actor at the Chunsa Film Art Awards, Best New Male Actor at the Buil Film Awards, and Best New Actor in the film category at the Baeksang Arts Awards for the transgender-themed film "Dream of Jane."


On the 15th, he left a strong impression on audiences by portraying Sergeant Seo in Unit 631 in the film "Peninsula," directed by Yeon Sang-ho, which was released today.
