[Asia Economy Reporter Kangwook Cho] KB Kookmin Bank is strengthening its innovative sales channel model called the 'Partnership Group,' which groups 6 to 7 branches together to conduct joint sales activities.

On the 15th, KB Kookmin Bank announced the opening of Nowon Comprehensive Financial Center and Bujeon-dong Comprehensive Financial Center to reinforce its face-to-face sales channel innovation model, the 'PG 2.0' strategy.

Last October, KB Kookmin Bank introduced the 'PG 2.0' channel strategy, an advanced Partnership Group (PG) sales system, and opened the Seocho-dong Comprehensive Financial Center. The Partnership Group (PG) refers to a joint sales system that groups 6 to 7 branches in a specific area to operate centered around a hub branch.

The further enhanced PG 2.0 channel strategy features ▲ 6 to 7 branches forming a Partnership Group (PG) to collaborate within the group branches to meet diverse customer financial needs, ▲ establishment of regional hub branches combining banking, securities, PB centers, and pension centers, and ▲ operation of business-specific branches by concentrating experts in each field according to regional financial needs such as high-net-worth asset management and corporate loan consultations.

Following the opening of Nowon Comprehensive Financial Center and Bujeon-dong Comprehensive Financial Center, KB Kookmin Bank plans to open Busan Comprehensive Financial Center and Gwangju Comprehensive Financial Center in the Busan and Gwangju areas by the end of this month, and will continue to expand regional hub branches in the second half of the year.

The newly opened Nowon Comprehensive Financial Center serves as a hub for the area. On the first floor, there is a coffee specialty store 'Coffee Bean' available for use alongside the bank, and a digital zone is established with ATMs, automatic bill payment machines, and STM (Smart Teller Machines) that allow unmanned issuance of passbooks, cards, and internet banking registrations. Additionally, smart managers are assigned to assist financially marginalized groups such as elderly customers who are not familiar with digital finance in using the bank.

The second floor houses a consulting zone for loan and deposit consultations, and the KB Golden Life Center offers retirement planning services including retirement pensions. On the third floor, the PB Center and KB Securities are located, providing differentiated financial services through collaboration between the bank and securities.

Moreover, video conferencing equipment is installed within the regional hub branches, enabling customers to consult with head office experts in real estate, tax, accounting, and other fields for asset management without constraints of time and space. The Star Square, a space for VIP customers, regularly offers financial seminars and cultural content.

A KB Kookmin Bank official stated, "In the second half of the year, we will additionally open regional hub branches in Daegu, Daejeon, and Bucheon, and gradually increase the proportion of Partnership Groups (PG) with regional hub branches to provide differentiated financial services to the best of our ability."
