Dongmyung University Hosts 'Makers Forum' on Maker Education Makers Forum held at Dongmyung University on the 14th.


[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Dongmyung University held a forum on the 14th at Gang Seok-jin Startup Village to explore cooperation plans for talent development through maker education in collaboration with the Busan Makers Association.


The forum was jointly organized by Dongmyung University's Social Customized Industry-Academic Cooperation Leading University (LINC+) Development Project Group and the Busan Makers Association to revitalize the maker industry in the Busan area through the Maker RCC and to support maker activities.


Under the theme of "Smart Manufacturing and AI," the forum included lectures on maker education in the AI era (Professor Kim Byung-ki, Silla University), future industry smart farms linked with AI (Professor Kim Kwan-hyung, Dongmyung University), and AI and smart manufacturing (Manager Kim Ji-hoon, Autodesk Korea), along with discussions on the application methods of AI, which has recently become a hot topic, and education.


A business agreement ceremony was also held to spread maker culture between the Busan Nam-gu Youth Development Center, Dongmyung University Makerspace Center, and the Busan Makers Association.


About 50 people attended, including Kim Sang-gil, Director of Dongmyung University R&BD Center; Park Soo-young, Director of the Community Cooperation Center; Park Cheol-soo, Director of the Startup Education Center; Lee Jong-pyo, Chief Professor of Maker RCC; Jeong Chung-kyo, President of the Busan Makers Association; Min Jin-hong, Vice President; Kim Se-yoon, Secretary General; Bae Jeong-seon, Treasurer; as well as personnel related to the Busan area maker industry and university and education office officials related to AI makers.
