Discussion on Strengthening the Social Safety Net in Specialized Knowledge Areas such as Legal, Tax, and Labor for Small Business Owners

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business (Chairman Kim Ki-moon) announced on the 15th that it held a 'Meeting with the Yellow Umbrella Management Support Group Inviting Small Business Organization Heads' in Yeouido, Seoul.
At the meeting, industry difficulties and collaboration plans were discussed to strengthen the social safety net in specialized knowledge areas such as legal, labor, and tax for small and micro enterprises. Chairman Kim Ki-moon of the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business and Kim Dong-seon, Chairman of the Management Support Group's Steering Committee, along with Shin Chan-gi, Chairman of the Industrial Supplies Association; Hwang In-hwan, Chairman of the Seoul Automobile Maintenance Cooperative; Ha Hyun-soo, Chairman of the National Merchants Federation; Kim Im-yong, Chairman of the Korea Gas Sales Cooperative Federation; Kim Moon-sik, Chairman of the Korea Gas Station Operators Cooperative; Bang Ki-hong, Chairman of the Korea Small Merchants and Self-Employed Federation; Park Woon-ho, Chairman of the Florists Association; and Park Ho-jin, Secretary General of the Korea Franchise Industry Association, as well as heads of small business organizations and management support group steering committee members from various fields attended.
Chairman Kim Ki-moon said, "Just as the Yellow Umbrella has become a social safety net against business closure for 1.3 million small and micro enterprises, in the post-COVID era, a specialized social safety net is needed to support small and micro enterprises in enhancing their management capabilities themselves," adding, "I hope the Yellow Umbrella Management Support Group can serve as a specialized social safety net for small and micro enterprises."
Chairman Kim Dong-seon stated, "The management support group, composed of small business organizations representing the field and expert groups, will collaborate to provide free consultation opportunities that all small business owners can easily and conveniently use, as well as systematic consultation cases."
