[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] The Future United Party criticized Justice Minister Choo Mi-ae for saying that "the media's voyeuristic tendencies toward female ministers are serious," stating, "They remain silent about the late Mayor Park Won-soon's female victims but suddenly appeal to 'female ministers'."

Kim Eun-hye, spokesperson for the United Party, said in a statement on the 15th, "She is 'female' when it is disadvantageous and 'minister' when it is advantageous."

Earlier, Minister Choo pointed out on Facebook, "The media's voyeuristic tendencies toward female ministers are serious. It makes me laugh more than angry."

In response, Spokesperson Kim said, "Now is not the time to listen to her own voice. If she has time, she should at least listen to the voices of the victims." He criticized, "With the same determination as when she said, 'One sexual crime and it's over,' she should reveal the truth about the sexual harassment allegations against the late Mayor Park. That is what 'Minister Choo Mi-ae,' not a 'female minister,' should do."

He added, "Considering the will that expelled former Governor Ahn Hee-jung based on a single victim's testimony, and the resolute determination to deal with sexual crimes such as the Nth Room case with zero tolerance, forming a special prosecution team should not be difficult at all." He pointed out, "Isn't this a government that can suddenly investigate even cases past the statute of limitations with just a word from the president? The ones who should be laughing are not the minister but the people."
