Gwangju Buk-gu, Recruiting 1,194 Participants for Hope Job Project


[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Moon In) announced on the 15th that it will recruit 1,194 participants for the 'COVID-19 Overcome Hope Job Project' until the 24th.


This project will be conducted in 68 projects across five fields: public service support, daily quarantine, youth support, transportation, and environment.


Eligible applicants are Buk-gu residents aged 18 or older with work ability as of the announcement date. Residents in need of livelihood support can apply regardless of income and property.


However, priority will be given to low-income vulnerable employment groups, long-term unemployed due to COVID-19, those on leave or business closure, special employment workers, freelancers, and platform workers.


Working hours are 15 to 25 hours per week, and wages are applied at the minimum wage (8,590 KRW per hour).


Applications can be submitted online through the Buk-gu Office website or by preparing documents according to the characteristics of each project and visiting the reception desk on the 2nd floor of the Welfare Nuri Building at Buk-gu Office or the administrative welfare center of the resident's address.


Mayor Moon In of Buk-gu said, "I hope this project will help stabilize the lives of residents who are struggling with their livelihoods due to COVID-19," and added, "We will continue to make greater efforts to create public sector jobs for the recovery of the people's economy."
