President Moon stated, "When you actually start working, unexpected delays occur mostly because you have to overcome conflicting interests," and urged the ruling party, government, and the Blue House to "anticipate conflicts of interest and proactively coordinate them."
Spokesperson Kang explained, "Although President Moon still has the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions' temporary delegate meeting ahead, he cited the tripartite representative meeting that produced a labor-management-government agreement as an example of coordinating interests."
Meanwhile, Lee Hae-chan, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, said, "The President has made an important decision," adding, "Bold ideas are necessary for the success of the Korea New Deal." He also urged, "Each government ministry should have the execution power to intensively promote the Korea New Deal."
Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun said, "With the Korea New Deal, we have now found a way to escape the 'middle-income trap' and become a leading country," and added, "To make the Korea New Deal successful, proactive administration is required." Prime Minister Chung further stated, "The government will find a sense of mission and devote all efforts," and "I order myself and the cabinet to do their utmost to achieve the outcomes of the Korea New Deal."
