Jeonnam Fire Department Develops Smart Display System for Disaster Situations at a Glance

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] A system that allows a comprehensive view of Jeonnam Fire Department's dispatch command information has been developed, raising expectations for improved golden time.

Jeonnam Fire Headquarters (Chief Ma Jaeyoon) announced on the 14th that it has independently developed a 'Smart Display System' that can monitor disaster situations in the province at a glance.

Currently, the dispatch command delivery system is transmitted in paper document form through dedicated PCs at each fire station. There were voices from the field that this was unnecessary and time-consuming for the first dispatch team to accurately confirm dispatch information.

The developed Smart Display System classifies dispatch information into fire, rescue, emergency medical service, and others, displaying it on the screen for easy identification through a dedicated monitor.

The dedicated monitors are installed in various locations such as offices, dining rooms, and lounges where firefighters operate, enabling rapid dispatch and on-site response anytime and anywhere.

When a dispatch command is received, it is displayed on the monitor with voice broadcasting, using different colors by category: red for fire, yellow for rescue, etc.

This allows for quick and accurate understanding of dispatch commands, which is expected to contribute to reducing dispatch time.

In addition, in preparation for social changes such as the 'post-COVID-19' era, a customized information delivery system will be established and utilized, including non-face-to-face video broadcasting, promotional videos, and announcement transmissions.

Ma Jaeyoon, Chief of Jeonnam Fire Headquarters, said, "We hope Jeonnam Fire Department will take the lead in the changing times by utilizing new information and communication technologies," adding, "We will do our best to secure golden time through rapid and accurate dispatch with the Smart Display System and provide better fire services."
