If Overseas Honeymoon Trips Are Difficult Due to COVID-19... Let's Travel Around the Country on the 'Rail Cruise Haerang' (Provided by Korea Railroad Corporation)

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Chun-hee] Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL), together with KORAIL Tourism Development, is launching the 'Suite Honeymoon Rail Cruise Haerang' for newlyweds who have turned to domestic travel due to the impact of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

Rail Cruise Haerang is the only hotel-style tourist train in Korea, with each cabin equipped with a bed, TV, bathroom, and shower. Unlimited beverages and snacks are provided, and various onboard performances such as magic shows and Nanta are also available.

For this product, KORAIL has prepared onboard services tailored to the honeymoon theme, including wine room service and wedding concept room decorations. Additionally, various activities such as professional photographer snap shoots and private yacht tours, as well as representative local foods from each region, will be offered.

This product is a 2-night, 3-day course traveling around the country, departing from Seoul Station at 8:30 a.m. on the 9th of next month, with a route covering Jeonju~Yeosu, Busan~Gyeongju, and Donghae~Jeongdongjin.

On the first day, travelers will enjoy Jeonju Hanok Village and the night view of Yeosu. Accompanied by a photographer, they will wear hanbok while touring the Hanok Village to create memorable photos, and in the evening, they will savor a course meal while admiring the sea view at a 5-star hotel in Yeosu.

On the second day, participants will experience a yacht tour in Busan and a city tour in Gyeongju. After a hotel buffet breakfast, they will visit Nurimaru in Haeundae and enjoy the yacht tour. In the afternoon, they will move to Gyeongju to feel the traces of the thousand-year-old city and have studio photos taken with a modern-era concept.

On the final third day, they will ride a rail bike along the coast in Jeongdongjin to watch the sunrise. Afterwards, they will travel to Taebaek for a Korean beef barbecue lunch before returning to Seoul.

The cabins come in two types: a 2-person suite room and a deluxe room, priced at 4.6 million KRW and 4.2 million KRW respectively. All meals and entrance fees to tourist sites throughout the itinerary are included, with no additional costs. Detailed information can be found on the Rail Cruise Haerang website.

KORAIL will ensure thorough quarantine and infection prevention guidelines for the Rail Cruise Haerang train to provide a safe honeymoon experience.
