MainBiz Association Signs Business Agreement to Promote Talent Recruitment in Small and Medium Enterprises

Cooperation with the Korea Council for College Education

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daeseop] The Korea Management Innovation Small and Medium Business Association (MainBiz Association) announced on the 14th that it has signed a business agreement with the Korea Council for College Education to "foster and activate the recruitment of excellent talent for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)."

The signing ceremony was held at the MainBiz Association office in Sungin-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul. Both organizations agreed on the changes in workforce demand due to the rapidly changing industrial structure, including the rise of the non-face-to-face economy caused by the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), and decided to cooperate to foster sustainable, high-quality talent and increase youth employment between SMEs and colleges.

The main contents of the business agreement include ▲ cooperation to strengthen and activate SME workforce development ▲ development and dissemination of cooperation models between SMEs based on regional industries and colleges ▲ discovery of excellent talent and companies for the successful implementation of the Youth Digital Job Project ▲ support for solving technical difficulties of SMEs and cooperation in practical research ▲ promotion of mutual growth and cooperative culture between SMEs and colleges.

Seok Yongchan, president of the MainBiz Association, said, "Amid the unstable youth employment market with youth unemployment exceeding 10% due to the recent COVID-19 crisis, the MainBiz Association will take the lead and do its best to ensure that excellent college talent can be hired by MainBiz companies through projects such as the Youth Digital Job Project."
