Donates Automatic Blood Pressure Monitors for Drivers Exposed to Chronic Diseases from Long Hours of Driving
Daedong Hospital signed a business agreement with the Busan City Private Taxi Transportation Business Association and donated automatic blood pressure monitors.

Daedong Hospital announced on the 14th that it signed a business agreement with the Busan Individual Taxi Transportation Business Association on the 13th and held a donation event for automatic blood pressure monitors to improve the health of association members suffering from chronic diseases caused by long hours of driving.
The Busan Individual Taxi Transportation Business Association expects to provide differentiated services to improve the medical welfare of its members and their families through this agreement.
About ten people attended the donation ceremony, including Kim Ho-deok, chairman of the Individual Taxi Transportation Association, association executives, Park Sang-hee, head of the Comprehensive Health Examination Team at Daedong Hospital, and Jo Min-guk, head of the Medical Cooperation Team. The blood pressure monitors were installed in the first-floor lobby, where association members frequently visit, allowing anyone to freely measure and manage their blood pressure.
Park Sang-hee, head of the Comprehensive Health Examination Team at Daedong Hospital, said, “Daedong Hospital has been providing various support and cooperation to neighbors in need and places requiring health management in the local community,” adding, “We hope this agreement will help association members who are struggling to operate individual taxis during the COVID-19 pandemic to manage their health and prevent diseases.”
Kim Ho-deok, chairman of the Busan Individual Taxi Transportation Association, said, “Our association was established in 1977 to protect the business rights and enhance the interests of individual taxi operators and currently consists of about 15,000 members,” adding, “We want to express our gratitude to Daedong Hospital for enabling members, who usually suffer from musculoskeletal disorders and various diseases such as hypertension due to long hours of driving, to conveniently manage their blood pressure anytime.”
Meanwhile, Daedong Hospital has been operating a regional emergency medical center since 2019, providing prompt treatment for local emergency patients, and has strengthened equipment and personnel in the Spine and Joint Center, Cardiovascular Center, Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Center, and Comprehensive Health Examination Center to promote the health of local residents.
