From Product Storage to Rocket Delivery and CS Support, Coupang Solves It All at Once
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Coupang announced on the 14th that it will launch the 'Rocket Partnership' program, which allows sellers on its open marketplace, Marketplace, to handle everything from product storage to Rocket Delivery and customer satisfaction (CS) response in one place.
Rocket Partnership is a new sales program operated according to customer demand to help increase sales. Coupang's algorithm predicts the necessary inventory and provides data to sellers, who then stock products at Coupang's Rocket logistics centers in a consignment format. Afterwards, Coupang offers its distinctive services, including product storage, Rocket Delivery, and CS response.
Unlike Rocket Delivery, which Coupang operates by directly purchasing products, Rocket Partnership allows sellers to set more flexible sales strategies. When selling through Rocket Partnership, sellers can directly determine prices, discount rates, and whether to run promotions. This enables sellers to focus solely on product strategy.
Sellers using Rocket Partnership can fully manage their product authority while selling products through Rocket Delivery, the most preferred delivery method by customers. In particular, Rocket Partnership products are given a separate badge labeled 'Rocket Partnership' on the product search screen, and a 'View only Rocket Delivery' filter is applied to increase product exposure frequency.
Sellers joining Coupang can strategically compose their product sales portfolio by utilizing Coupang Marketplace, Rocket Delivery, and Rocket Partnership as needed. Tiffany Gonzalez, Senior Director of Coupang Marketplace, said, "As fast delivery has become an important shopping criterion these days, Rocket Partnership is expected to be an effective service that alleviates concerns important to sellers," adding, "While the ways to succeed on Coupang Marketplace vary, Coupang will create the optimal environment for any seller to sell products well."
