LG Electronics announced on the 14th that its premium 384ℓ top-freezer bottom-freezer refrigerator recently received the highest rating of 5 stars in the refrigerator performance evaluation conducted by the French IT magazine 'Les Numeriques.' This refrigerator scored top marks in key categories such as ease of use, freezing capability, and power consumption.
In particular, major European consumer magazines including Italy's 'Altroconsumo,' the UK's 'Which?,' the Netherlands' 'Consumentenbond,' Poland's 'Pro-Test,' Spain's 'OCU,' Portugal's 'Deco Proteste,' Belgium's 'Test Aankoop,' Sweden's 'Rad&Ron,' and Finland's 'Kuluttaja' all ranked LG Electronics' top-freezer bottom-freezer refrigerator as number one in their independently conducted performance evaluations.
Additionally, Italy's consumer magazine 'Altroconsumo' recently selected LG Electronics' 458ℓ French door refrigerator as the best product in the French door and double-door categories. LG Electronics' double-door refrigerators were also recognized as top products by Spain's 'OCU' and Portugal's 'Deco Proteste.'
LG Electronics explained that the reason their premium refrigerators receive favorable evaluations from European media is thanks to the core component, the 'Inverter Linear Compressor.'
The linear compressor, which moves in a straight line instead of rotating, experiences less energy loss during power transmission, making it more energy-efficient than conventional inverter compressors. Additionally, the application of inverter technology allows precise control of the refrigerator by freely adjusting the motor speed. Its simpler structure compared to conventional compressors also enhances durability.
The 'Knock-On Magic Space' feature applied to LG Electronics' premium refrigerators is also cited as a distinctive advantage. Knock-On Magic Space is a function that combines the new concept storage space called 'Magic Space' with 'Knock-On,' which turns on the display by knocking. When customers knock on the front door of the Magic Space, the interior light turns on, allowing easy checking of the type and quantity of stored food. This reduces the number of times the door is opened and closed, thereby minimizing cold air leakage compared to opening the entire door.
