Buan-gun Suffers the Largest Damage with 1,274.1 ha

According to Jeonbuk Province on the 13th, due to the heavy rain that fell in the province from the previous day until 10 a.m., 1,177 farms and 2,409.6 hectares of crops were flooded in 10 cities and counties excluding Jeonju, Jeongeup, Namwon, and Imsil.
In the Jeonbuk area, rice suffered the greatest damage with 1,530.5 hectares flooded, followed by paddy soybeans with 839.5 hectares flooded.
By local government in the province, Buan County suffered the greatest damage with 1,274.1 hectares (610 farms) affected.
Next were Gimje City with 563 hectares (60 farms), Gochang County with 364.2 hectares (252 farms), Gunsan City with 102.9 hectares (62 farms), and Iksan City with 51.2 hectares (62 farms) in descending order of damage.
Additionally, damage was recorded as 20 hectares (70 farms) in Sunchang County, 15 hectares (35 farms) in Jinan, 13.2 hectares (11 farms) in Wanju, 5.7 hectares (12 farms) in Muju, and 0.3 hectares (1 farm) in Jangsu.
Jeonbuk Province plans to promptly drain water from the flooded paddy fields and provide technical guidance on crop damage prevention to prevent further damage.
