[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] The National Gyeongsang University announced on the 13th that the inauguration ceremony of the 11th president, Dr. Kwon Soon-ki, will be held on the 15th at the 2nd floor auditorium of the GNU Convention Center.
About 200 people will attend the ceremony, including President Kwon Soon-ki and his spouse, Gyeongsang University faculty and staff, student representatives, and guests such as Kim Kyung-soo, Governor of Gyeongnam Province.
The event will be conducted simply and solemnly while strictly adhering to quarantine rules such as temperature checks, hand sanitization, mask-wearing, and social distancing to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
The theme of President Kwon Soon-ki's inauguration ceremony is "Coexistence and Cooperation."
It is very unusual to set a theme for the inauguration ceremony of representatives of institutions and organizations.
Choosing "Coexistence and Cooperation" as the theme signifies Gyeongsang University's declaration to both internal and external audiences that it will fulfill its role as a platform for regional innovation.
In his pre-distributed inaugural address, President Kwon Soon-ki stated, "I am inaugurated as the 11th president of Gyeongsang University with the ambition and strategy to ensure that Gyeongsang University fulfills its role as a 'platform for regional innovation.'
Gyeongsang University will create a blueprint for 'coexistence and cooperation,' establish practical measures, develop the region's economy, industry, administration, and culture, and establish a virtuous cycle structure where local talents can demonstrate their abilities within the region."
