A School Named After BTS V to Open... 'Taehyung Hope Elementary School'

[Asia Economy Reporter Heo Midam] An elementary school named after BTS member V (real name Kim Taehyung) will be built in China.

On the 11th, Baidu V Bar, V’s largest fan club in China, officially announced the establishment of the "Taehyung Hope Elementary School."

Baidu V Bar stated that they donated 500,000 yuan (approximately 85 million KRW) to the construction fund for Taehyung Hope Elementary School through the "Hope Project" run by the China Youth Development Foundation (CYDF).

This project was made possible by donating part of the birthday fundraising collected by fans under the title "Glimmer" (a small light) to public welfare projects in celebration of V’s birthday.

The "Taehyung Hope Elementary School" is currently searching for a site with the goal of completion in 2020, and Baidu V Bar plans to disclose detailed progress later.

V’s official Chinese fan club Baidu V Bar has participated in various public welfare projects and donation activities. Recently, they built a 100-meter-long road named "Kim Taehyung Road" and a 10-meter-long bridge called "Kim Taehyung Bridge" in Zhaoxi Village, located in southwestern Shanxi Province, China, to improve the poor commuting environment for elementary school students. This road and bridge are famous as the "Kim Taehyung Love Path."
