At 11 AM on the 13th, Heavy Rain Advisory Lifted for Most Areas of Daegu and Gyeongbuk

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Dong-wook] The Nakdong River Flood Control Office issued a flood advisory at 11 a.m. on the 13th for Kimyong-ri, Yeongsun-myeon, Mungyeong-si, Gyeongbuk Province.
Due to heavy rain on the day, the designated water level rose sharply, exceeding the advisory water level (3.55 m according to the water level chart) around 11 a.m. The height of the Nakdong River embankment at Kimyong-ri, Yeongsun-myeon is 6.74 m, the advisory water level is 3.55 m, and the warning water level is 4 m.
The Nakdong River Flood Control Office urged, "As the water level of the Nakdong River continues to rise, residents near the Nakdong River in Mungyeong and Sangju should be cautious."
Meanwhile, heavy rain fell in the Gyeongbuk area where the heavy rain advisory had been issued, causing numerous damages. According to the Gyeongbuk Fire Headquarters, at around 7:57 a.m., a 25-seat bus was submerged in flooded water in Mohwa-ri, Oedong-eup, Gyeongju-si. Earlier, at around 7:23 a.m., reports were received of five roadside trees falling, including one tree that fell along the roadside in Doryang-dong, Gumi-si.
By 8:40 a.m., a total of 15 incidents were reported in Gyeongbuk, including 5 requests for drainage support, 5 fallen roadside trees, 1 vehicle submerged, and 1 road collapse. Fortunately, no casualties or major accidents occurred.
The heavy rain advisory issued for Daegu and Gyeongbuk areas including Gumi, Gimcheon, Sangju, Mungyeong, Yecheon, Chilgok, Seongju, Goryeong, and Gunwi was lifted at 11 a.m.
