[Asia Economy Reporter Han Seung-gon] On the afternoon of the 13th, A, the former secretary of the late Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon, who accused him of sexual harassment, will hold a press conference to state their position.
Kim Jae-ryeon, A's attorney (Onsesang Law Firm), said in interviews with multiple media outlets on the morning of the same day that they plan to hold a press conference at 2 p.m. in Seoul's Eunpyeong District with representatives from the Korean Women's Hotline and the Korean Sexual Violence Counseling Center to urge the truth to be revealed regarding this case.
A will not attend the press conference. The Korean Women's Hotline stated, "The press conference will be attended by the victim's legal representative, activists from the Korean Women's Hotline, and activists from the Korean Sexual Violence Counseling Center."
Earlier, on the 10th, women's organizations including the Korean Women's Hotline and the Korean Women's Minwoo Association simultaneously issued statements opposing the funeral of Mayor Park as a Seoul Metropolitan City official.
The Korean Women's Hotline launched a campaign titled "Writing Messages of Solidarity to the Victim of Park Won-soon's Sexual Harassment," stating, "Since the accusation of Park Won-soon's sexual harassment, we are outraged by one aspect of our society that once again sides with the perpetrator rather than the victim."
They added, "We are angry that the power used to commit sexual violence is once again protecting the perpetrator and blocking the investigation of the truth of the case," emphasizing, "We will stand together until the truth of the case is revealed as the victim hoped and until they can safely return to their daily life," vowing to uncover the truth behind the sexual harassment allegations against Mayor Park.
The Korean Women's Minwoo Association expressed, "We are outraged at the political circles, media, Seoul city government, and civil society that are causing secondary harm to the victim who tried to reveal the truth," urging, "Seoul city must reveal the truth to prevent further harm and stand with the victim."
They further emphasized, "The Korean Women's Minwoo Association stands in solidarity with the victim's courage and will join in the society that the victim sought to change."

A filed a police complaint on the 8th accusing Mayor Park of sexual harassment using his authority at work.
It was investigated that Mayor Park left the mayoral residence located in Gahoe-dong, Jongno-gu, at around 10:44 a.m. on the 9th, the day after A's complaint. After leaving the residence, he took a taxi to Waryong Park and is presumed to have moved on foot thereafter.
According to the police, Mayor Park's daughter reported to 112 at 5:17 p.m. that day, saying, "My father left home about 4 to 5 hours ago after leaving what sounded like a will, and his phone is turned off," filing a missing person report.
The police and fire authorities conducted a search operation for 6 hours and 30 minutes starting at 5:30 p.m., focusing on the area around Seongbuk-gu, Seoul, where the last signal from Mayor Park's mobile phone was detected.
Police riot squad members, firefighters, and rescue dogs searching the Bukaksan area found Mayor Park's body at 12:01 a.m. near the mountain path beside the fortress wall near Sukjeongmun.
