Daegu Reports One Overseas COVID-19 Case from Uzbekistan... [Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] A new case of overseas-imported COVID-19 infection has occurred in Daegu after five days.


According to Daegu City on the 13th, as of midnight, the number of confirmed cases increased by one from the previous day to 6,927. The number of recovered patients increased to 6,812 (recovery rate 97.0%) as three patients were discharged the previous day, and the number of deaths remained at 185.


The newly confirmed case from the previous day was diagnosed positive after entering from Uzbekistan on the 11th and undergoing testing at the Dongdaegu Station walk-through screening clinic, and was admitted to Daegu Dongsan Hospital.


Among the 23 confirmed patients in the Daegu area, 21 are receiving treatment at three hospitals nationwide, one is being treated at a residential treatment center, and the remaining one is under self-quarantine.


The number of overseas arrivals to Daegu (since March 22) is currently 9,621 as of 4 p.m. on the 12th. Among the 9,586 who underwent diagnostic testing, 67 were confirmed positive through airport quarantine, public health center screening, Dongdaegu Station walk-through, or hospital testing.
