Gwangju Cultural Foundation Announces Open Recruitment for 4th CEO


[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Cultural Foundation is publicly recruiting its 4th CEO.


Gwangju Cultural Foundation announced on the 13th that it will post a public recruitment notice for the CEO from the 13th to the 27th and begin the appointment process.


The CEO recruitment and appointment will be conducted through document screening and interviews by a separately formed Executive Recommendation Committee, followed by a personnel hearing by the City Council and the mayor's appointment procedure.


In particular, the interview will include an in-depth interview such as a self-presentation (PT) based on the documents submitted by the applicant.


The Executive Recommendation Committee will recommend more than twice the number of final candidates to the foundation's board of directors, which will narrow it down to twice the number and recommend them to the Mayor of Gwangju Metropolitan City. Among the candidates, the mayor will select one person, who will be appointed after a City Council hearing.


The CEO of Gwangju Cultural Foundation oversees the foundation's finances and affairs and directs and supervises affiliated employees.


Eligibility criteria include ▲ professional knowledge and experience related to cultural foundation projects, organizational management ability, and fundraising ability ▲ ability to lead the organization toward expanding citizens' cultural activities ▲ understanding of the foundation's establishment purpose and role and ability to realize it ▲ communication skills with government, legislature, cultural and artistic institutions and organizations. Applicants must meet at least one of these criteria, with no restrictions on education or age. The CEO's term is three years.


Applications can be submitted by downloading the required documents from the Gwangju Cultural Foundation website or the Gwangju Metropolitan City website and submitting them in person or by mail from the 21st to the 27th (excluding holidays).


Successful candidates in the document screening will be announced on the Gwangju Cultural Foundation website on the 4th of next month, and the interview is scheduled for the 10th of next month.
