[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyun] Jindo County Council held the 261st extraordinary session on the 10th and formed the leadership team for the second half of the 8th Jindo County Council.
According to the Jindo County Council on the 13th, Park Geum-rye (Democratic Party of Korea, Constituency Na) was elected as the chairperson for the second half of the 8th term, and Jeong Soon-bae (Democratic Party of Korea, Constituency Na) was elected as the vice-chairperson.
Park Geum-rye, the newly appointed chairperson leading the 8th Jindo County Council, said in her acceptance speech, "I will work even harder for the residents of Jindo County, responding to the support of my fellow council members and the trust of the residents who hope for a prosperous Jindo. I will engage in council activities with a more sincere attitude and do my best to make the council one that communicates with the residents and drives regional development."
Newly appointed Vice-Chairperson Jeong Soon-bae also stated, "I will do my best to fulfill the council's original role for the welfare and happiness of the residents of Jindo, and together with my fellow council members, I will devote all my efforts to making the council trusted and loved by the residents."
With the completion of the leadership formation for the second half of the 8th term on this day, the elected leadership team will serve until the end of June 2022.
