The number of weekend moviegoers remained in the 300,000 range. According to the Korea Film Council's integrated ticketing system on the 13th, the number of visitors to movie theaters last weekend (10th-12th) was 345,555. This is 106,574 fewer than the first weekend of this month (3rd-5th), which had 452,129 visitors. After nearly reaching one million visitors last weekend of the previous month (26th-28th, 999,480), the numbers have been declining continuously.

This is due to the lack of new releases to lead a rebound. The third-week release '#Alive' also saw a decline in momentum. It attracted 136,726 viewers (1,111 screens, 13,296 screenings), which is 46.6% (119,131 viewers) less than the first weekend of this month (255,857 viewers). Although it secured the most seats for the third week (seat occupancy rate 36.8%), its sales rate was only 6.0%. It ranks 8th among films with over 10,000 seats secured. The cumulative audience count is 1,782,912.

The new release 'Bombshell: The Power of Truth' failed to attract over 100,000 viewers. It recorded 62,678 viewers across 882 screens (8,492 screenings). It held the second most seats (seat occupancy rate 23.1%) but had a sales rate of only 4.3%. The cumulative audience count is 93,467.

The number of moviegoers this weekend may rise again. Director Yeon Sang-ho's new film 'Peninsula' is set to be released on the 15th. It is a work that brings the universe of 'Train to Busan' (11,565,479 viewers), which recorded over 10 million viewers. Starring Kang Dong-won and Lee Jung-hyun, it attracted attention even before filming began. As of 9:43 AM on the day, the reservation rate is 76.9%, with 98,033 tickets booked.
