According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 13th, the 6 additional confirmed cases are classified as follows: 2 related to a badminton club, 1 imported case, 2 from Ochi-dong T WORLD, and 1 under investigation, numbered 163 to 168 in Gwangju.

Case 163 (male in his 40s, Nam-gu Haengam-dong Jeil Punggyeongchae Complex 1) and case 164 (female in her 60s, Nam-gu Bangnim-dong Bangnim Humansia) are related to the badminton club. They were confirmed as contacts of cases 137 and 151, respectively. Case 163 was confirmed to have visited Naju, Jeonnam on the 10th and currently shows no special symptoms. Case 164 began experiencing symptoms such as sore throat from the 11th.

Case 165 is an imported case from Japan, a male in his 30s residing in Nam-gu Seodong Yeongmu Yedaeum. He arrived on the 29th of last month and tested positive during a pre-release test while under self-quarantine according to guidelines.

Cases 166 and 167, a female in her 60s and a male in his 70s residing in Buk-gu Ochi-dong, are both contacts of case 116 and are classified as related to T WORLD.

Case 168 is a male in his 60s residing in Seo-gu Geumho-dong. The infection route is currently under investigation.

Meanwhile, since the 27th of last month, a total of 135 COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Gwangju.
