Hanwha's 'Sold-Out Streak' Forena, Sales in Suncheon, Jeonnam and Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi in August-September


[Asia Economy Reporter Onyu Lim] Hanwha Construction is introducing apartments applying its premium brand ‘Forena’ in Suncheon, Jeollanam-do, and Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi-do. Forena is a residential brand that has been a hot topic since its launch last year, achieving consecutive sell-outs in six sales complexes and zero unsold units.


On the 13th, Hanwha Construction stated, "As these are the first Forena complexes supplied in Suncheon and Yangpyeong respectively, we will apply differentiated designs and products to complete landmark apartments in each region."


Forena Suncheon, which will be sold next month, is located at 337-3 Seonpyeong-ri, Seomyeon, Suncheon-si, Jeollanam-do. It consists of 9 apartment buildings, ranging from 2 basement floors to 18 above-ground floors, with a total of 613 households. The housing types (based on exclusive area) are ▲84A㎡ with 246 units ▲84B㎡ with 265 units ▲101㎡ with 67 units ▲119㎡ with 35 units.


Forena Suncheon is highly anticipated in the region due to its pleasant natural environment adjacent to Dongcheon and Gangcheong Riverside Park. It boasts excellent transportation networks with Baekgang-ro, Suncheon IC, and KTX Suncheon Station nearby, and convenient access to Homeplus, Hanaro Mart, and NC Department Store. In particular, new apartments around Dongcheon are forming a new residential town near Forena Suncheon, raising expectations for future value.


Forena Yangpyeong, scheduled for sale in September, will be located at 650-2 Changdae-ri, Yangpyeong-eup, Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do. It consists of 7 buildings from 2 basement floors to 24 above-ground floors, with a total of 438 households (planned). The housing types range from 59 to 84㎡, all of which are popular small to medium-sized apartments.


Forena Yangpyeong boasts excellent transportation with Gyeongui-Jungang Line and KTX Yangpyeong Station, as well as Yangpyeong Bus Terminal, all within a 1 km radius. Additionally, Yangpyeong Dong Elementary School, Yangpyeong High School, and various marts are located nearby.


There are also abundant development benefits. Once the preliminary feasibility study for the Songpa-Yangpyeong highway, currently underway, is completed, it is expected that travel time from Yangpyeong to Seoul by car will break into the 15-minute range, significantly improving Seoul accessibility. Construction of the Second Outer Ring Expressway connecting Yangpyeong and Icheon is also in progress.


A Hanwha Construction official added, "The two regions where Forena Suncheon and Forena Yangpyeong are located are not included in the government’s designated regulated areas, so they are relatively less affected by real estate regulations, which is also noteworthy."


Hanwha Construction plans to continue sales in the second half of the year in areas such as Suwon and Incheon, expecting to reach 20,000 Forena households by the end of this year.
