LG Pra.L Derma Mask, First in Industry to Pass 'LED Mask Preliminary Safety Standards'

LG Pra.L Derma Mask, First in Industry to Pass 'LED Mask Preliminary Safety Standards' An LG Electronics model is introducing the LG Pra.L Derma LED Mask.

[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] LG Pra.L Derma LED Mask has become the first in the industry to pass the 'Preliminary Safety Standards for Non-Medical LED Mask-Type Products,' LG Electronics announced on the 13th.

LG Electronics explained that the Derma LED Mask passed all the test items specified by the preliminary safety standards, including ▲external maximum temperature ▲photobiological safety ▲safety device installation ▲labeling requirements. The tests were conducted by the Korea Testing Laboratory (KTL), a testing agency under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.

Among the LED masks currently on sale, the Derma LED Mask is the first product to pass the safety standards announced by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.

Prior to passing this test, the Derma LED Mask was the first among domestically sold LED masks to receive Class II clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), corresponding to the level of home-use medical devices.

Through clinical verification, the product's efficacy and safety have been recognized by medical institutions both domestically and internationally. Since April, LG Electronics has also been operating the LG Pra.L Skin Science Advisory Group, composed of current professors and specialists.

Osangjun, head of LG Electronics' Home Beauty Business, said, “We will continue to lead the premium home beauty device market by enhancing efficacy and safety so that customers can use the products with confidence.”
