Dobong-gu Holds the 4th "Dobong in the Media" Drawing Contest

From July 22 to August 7, registered mail or in-person submissions to the District Office Public Relations and IT Department... Suspicious works to be exhibited in the District Office 1st floor lobby in September

Dobong-gu Holds the 4th "Dobong in the Media" Drawing Contest The award-winning works of the 3rd Dobong Painting Contest Featured in the Media are exhibited in the lobby of Dobong-gu Office (2019.08.03.)


[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Dobong-gu (Mayor Lee Dong-jin) is hosting the "4th Dobong Reflected in the Media" drawing contest to record the changing image of a "Greater Dobong" seen through the eyes of children.


Any elementary school student attending a school located in Dobong-gu can participate, and submissions will be accepted by grade level (1st to 6th grade).


The contest theme includes images of Dobong reported by various media outlets from 2019 to the present, such as Seoul Arena representing the future of Dobong, Ssangmun Chaeeum Library filling hearts through reading, and the Eco Cherry Blossom Festival in Chang 2-dong heralding spring. Participants are encouraged to express projects and events related to the district through imaginative and creative drawings by elementary students.


The submission period is from July 22 to August 7, and application forms can be downloaded from the Dobong-gu Office website (Announcements & Budget → Notice Board). The artwork size should be on 4-cut drawing paper, materials are free to choose, and only one entry per person is allowed.


Submissions can be sent by registered mail or delivered in person to the Dobong-gu Office Public Relations and Computer Department (14th floor, Dobong-gu Office, 656 Madeul-ro, Dobong-gu). Weekends and public holidays are excluded, and mailed entries must arrive by the deadline to be accepted.


The district will award a total of 90 works by grade: ▲Grand Prize (1 person) ▲Gold Prize (2 persons) ▲Silver Prize (4 persons) ▲Bronze Prize (8 persons).


The results will be posted on the district website and individually notified on August 28, and the winning works will be exhibited in the lobby on the 1st floor of Dobong-gu Office in September.


Mayor Lee Dong-jin of Dobong-gu said, "I hope this drawing contest will be an opportunity for children to take more interest in their neighborhood, and I look forward to many works capturing the diverse and sparkling Dobong-gu seen through the unique perspectives of children."
