'The Return of Superman' Shin Hyun-joon Reveals Wife and Two Sons: "I Want to Show How Much Happiness Children Bring to Life"

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jeong-ho] Actor Shin Hyun-joon revealed for the first time his beautiful wife and their two sons who look just like him.

On the afternoon of the 12th, KBS 2TV's "The Return of Superman" (hereafter "Superman") aired a segment featuring the daily life of Shin Hyun-joon's family.

Shin Hyun-joon married a cellist wife who is 12 years younger than him in December 2013. Since then, they have embraced their two sons, Min-jun and Ye-jun.

Regarding the moment he first met his beautiful wife, Shin Hyun-joon confessed, "It was like a movie. We crossed paths on the street, and I fell in love at first sight."

The couple started dating just three days after their first meeting and held their wedding six months later. About this, Shin Hyun-joon recalled, "I thought we would have a baby right after getting married. But despite trying, it didn’t happen. It was only after two years that our first son Min-jun was born."

Two years later, in 2017, Shin Hyun-joon welcomed his second son, Ye-jun.

On that day, Shin Hyun-joon said, "Overall, marriage is being delayed these days. I am 53 years old in Korean age. Some of my friends are already grandfathers. Many people are very afraid of raising children. I want to show how much happiness children bring to life."

Shin Hyun-joon was momentarily flustered while looking at a mission memo left by his wife. The memo included challenging tasks such as applying sunscreen to the kids and washing them. As a novice dad, Shin Hyun-joon said, "Even my wife doesn’t usually do these," which brought laughter.

Additionally, he prepared breakfast with his eldest son Min-jun. The younger son Ye-jun had flipped over the dog’s food bowl. Seeing this, Shin Hyun-joon said, "Just have fun playing," which again caused laughter. Ye-jun then excitedly made an even bigger mess.

However, Shin Hyun-joon showed positive parenting rather than scolding the children. He said, "I believe children want to do things. There is definitely a world I don’t understand," adding, "Ye-jun can’t express himself well in his own way, so I try to understand everything."
