Im Jong-bok, Chief of Gwangsan Fire Station in Gwangju, Inspects Areas at Risk of Heavy Rain Damage

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Im Jongbok, Chief of Gwangsan Fire Station in Gwangju, conducted an on-site inspection of areas vulnerable to damage from ‘heavy rain.’

According to Gwangsan Fire Station on the 12th, this inspection was arranged to prepare for the full-scale rainy season and to proactively prevent damage such as flooding caused by heavy rain, as a large amount of rain is expected due to the influence of the monsoon front across the Korean Peninsula since the 10th.

Chief Im conducted on-site inspections at Sochon Underpass, Yeonsan District, and Goryongje, and instructed patrol activities in vulnerable areas, activation of the emergency rescue control team considering weather conditions, and strengthening cooperation systems with related organizations.

Chief Im stated, “We will do our best to ensure that citizens’ safety is not threatened during the summer by thorough preparation and prompt response to habitual flood-prone areas and regions at risk of water-related accidents during the rainy season.”
