The Pohang Maritime Police immediately dispatched the Yeongilman Police Substation coastal rescue boat and patrol ship upon receiving the report, and relayed the situation to the nearby civilian marine rescue team. All four crew members who were on the boat were rescued. They were all wearing life jackets.
A Pohang Maritime Police official stated, "All crew members are in good health," and urged, "Before engaging in leisure activities, check the marine weather conditions and always wear a life jacket" as a safety precaution.
