Gyeonggi-do to Operate COVID-19 Reporting Corner Starting from the 15th

[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province will establish a COVID-19 reporting section in the 'Safe Report' system starting from the 15th, in cooperation with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, allowing anyone to report facilities with frequent quarantine rule violations or individuals who have left self-quarantine without permission, which pose risks to COVID-19 prevention.

Safe Report is a safety reporting system operated by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, where citizens can report safety hazards they encounter in daily life by taking photos and submitting them via the application or portal. The received safety reports are verified by the relevant departments of the province and city/county before appropriate action is taken.

The COVID-19 reporting targets include ▲facilities with frequent violations of quarantine rules and social distancing guidelines ▲facilities that do not comply with administrative measures for high-risk facilities ▲individuals who have left self-quarantine without permission ▲areas requiring focused management as COVID-19 blind spots, and institutional improvements for preventing the spread of COVID-19.

Until the 14th, reports can be submitted as usual through the general reporting section on both the app and portal. From the 15th, the Safe Report app will operate a separate COVID-19 reporting tab, and the portal will provide a separate checkbox to distinguish between general reports and COVID-19 reports.

Safety reports can be made via the Safe Report app (Android, iOS) and the Safe Report portal (http://www.safetyreport.go.kr). Responses to the processing results can be checked via mobile text messages and KakaoTalk.
