That day, Yoon Kyujin (Lee Sangyeop) blames himself after a child he had previously treated was rushed to the emergency room and admitted to the hospital. Song Nahee (Lee Minjung) worries about Kyujin and tries calling him, but Yoon Jaeseok (Lee Sangyi) answers the phone, asks about Kyujin’s condition on his behalf, and then hangs up. Jaeseok also feels sorry for Kyujin, who is blaming himself, saying, "You shouldn’t do that."
The next day, Kyujin is confronted by the child’s mother about a misdiagnosis. The mother says, "The diagnosis was acute myocarditis," and insists, "I absolutely cannot let this go," pressing Kyujin. Watching nearby, Song Nahee asks the mother, "I understand you were informed to bring the child to the emergency room if the condition worsened. Was there really no symptom that night?" but the mother denies it, saying, "I didn’t hear that."
Nahee, worried about Kyujin, finds him outside the hospital and says, "I knew you’d be blaming yourself like this again." Kyujin confesses, "Even if it was over-treatment, I should have admitted the child." Nahee mentions the child’s mother’s attitude from earlier and warns, "You know how patient guardians can suddenly turn from saying ‘thank you’ to becoming enemies, right? That guardian will never let this go. You can’t overlook this."
Eventually, when aggressive articles targeting Yoon Kyujin are published due to the incident, Song Nahee steps in and manages to resolve the situation by obtaining evidence that the child’s mother called the hospital that night.
Meanwhile, Jaeseok talks on the phone with Song Dahi (Lee Choihee), worrying about his brother. During the call, Dahi complains, "I can’t go because of the team project." Jaeseok then casually asks, "Who are you doing the team project with? Not with Jiwon (Chanhee)?" Dahi replies, "It’s random, so this time I’m not with Jiwon," and ends the call. At that moment, Jiwon approaches Dahi and says, "I switched with Junho. I’m on your team now."
Dahi and Jiwon go to a restaurant and run into Jaeseok, who is dining with their mother (Kim Boyeon). The four sit together, and Jiwon learns about the relationship between Dahi and Jaeseok. Jiwon directly asks Jaeseok, "You two are in-laws and secretly dating, right? But your mother doesn’t know, does she?" When Jaeseok hesitates, Jiwon boldly says, "Why? Are you scared?" which flusters Jaeseok.
Reflecting on her efforts to clear Kyujin’s name, Nahee realizes her feelings for him. She rejects a planned trip to the U.S. with Lee Jungrok (Alex) and goes to see Kyujin. Kyujin also notices Nahee and confesses, "I can’t let you go anywhere." He pleads, "Please don’t go," and holds her back.
Moved by Kyujin’s confession, Nahee runs to him in tears, and the two embrace, confirming their feelings.
