[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] Chung Eui-sun, Vice Chairman of Hyundai Motor Group, visited the memorial altar for Mayor Park Won-soon to pay his respects.
According to Hyundai Motor on the 11th, Vice Chairman Chung lined up for about 30 minutes after the public memorial altar was set up in front of Seoul City Hall that morning before paying his respects. It is known that Vice Chairman Chung's visit was made as a private individual, not as a company representative.
Hyundai Motor has been closely coordinating with Seoul City regarding the construction of the Samsung-dong Global Business Center (GBC). Additionally, it is reported that Vice Chairman Chung had a personal relationship with Mayor Park since the time Park was active at the Beautiful Foundation.
Meanwhile, Hyundai Motor also sent a condolence wreath in the name of Vice Chairman Chung to the Seoul National University Hospital funeral hall the day before.
