[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] A memorial altar for the late Park Won-soon, the Mayor of Seoul who was found dead on the 10th, will also be set up in his hometown, Changnyeong, Gyeongnam.


Park Won-soon's supporters' group, the 'Park Won-soon Fan Club,' announced on the same day that they will continue the memorial by setting up an altar in Changnyeong, where the mayor spent his childhood.


The altar will be located at the Park Won-soon Fan Club office at 51 Changnyeong-daero, Changnyeong-gun, and will be open from 11 a.m. on the 11th until midnight on the 12th.


The Park Won-soon Fan Club, a group supporting Mayor Park who is from Changnyeong, was established in December 2017.


Mayor Park, who was reported missing the previous afternoon, was found dead near Sukjeongmun Gate on Bukaksan Mountain at 12:01 a.m. on the day. In the publicly released will of Mayor Park, it was written: "I am sorry to everyone. I thank all those who have been with me in my life. I am always sorry to my family, to whom I could only bring pain. Please cremate me and scatter my ashes at my parents' grave. Goodbye to all."
