[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Bong-ju] At around 11:13 AM on the 10th, approximately 500 boxes of beer spilled onto the road from a 25-ton truck traveling through Yeonje-dong, Buk-gu, Gwangju.

There were no casualties, but vehicle traffic was restricted on a section of the road for 30 to 40 minutes.

Police and district office staff controlled traffic and cleaned up the road where thousands of beer bottles had spilled.

It was investigated that the truck's cargo compartment door opened because the locking mechanism was not properly secured, causing hundreds of beer boxes to spill out.
