Gwangju City Council Elects Second Half Standing Committee Chairpersons

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] The Gwangju Metropolitan Council announced on the 10th that at the 3rd plenary session of the 291st extraordinary meeting, four standing committee chairpersons for the second half of the 8th term were elected, including the Chairpersons of the Administrative Autonomy, Environment and Welfare, Industry and Construction, and Education and Culture Committees.

Lee Hong-il was elected as Chairperson of the Administrative Autonomy Committee, Shin Su-jeong as Chairperson of the Environment and Welfare Committee, Lee Jeong-hwan as Chairperson of the Industry and Construction Committee, and Kim Na-yoon as Chairperson of the Education and Culture Committee.

The council received recommendations for the Council Steering Committee members and appointed and approved Kim Hak-sil, Choi Young-hwan, Park Mi-jung, Jang Yeon-ju, Kim Ik-joo, Jang Jae-seong, Jeong Mu-chang, and Hwang Hyun-taek as members of the Council Steering Committee.

The Chairperson of the Council Steering Committee will complete candidate registration by 6 p.m. on the same day and will be elected at the 4th plenary session on the 15th, finalizing the composition of the second half term's chairpersons and standing committee chairpersons.
