[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Damyang-gun, Jeonnam (Governor Choi Hyung-sik) announced on the 10th that it will conduct surprise undercover inspections against acts that disrupt the sound transaction order of the real estate market due to rising real estate prices.
This guidance and crackdown is a strong administrative response measure following a surge in complaints about unregistered brokerage activities and illegal certificate lending due to the continuous rise in real estate prices caused by urban development projects such as the Advanced Culture Complex and Goseo Bochonjigu development projects.
The county plans to take corrective action on minor issues on-site through quarterly guidance and crackdowns, but in areas where real estate complaints occur and overheating regions, it will conduct surprise joint inspections with Jeonnam Province and strictly crack down on unregistered business activities, excessive brokerage fees, illegal certificate lending, etc., including suspension of business and imposition of fines.
A county official said, “Since COVID-19 is rapidly spreading mainly in the Gwangju area recently, face-to-face inspections are difficult, but we plan to proceed flexibly while monitoring the spread trend. Real estate brokerage activities are directly related to the property rights of residents, so we will do our best to establish a transparent and sound real estate transaction order through continuous guidance and inspection.”
