[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Suwan] Former AOA member and actress Kwon Mina has shared her first thoughts after revealing that she was bullied by member Jimin for 10 years.

On the 10th, Kwon Mina apologized on her Instagram, saying, "Many people, including my acquaintances, have sent me messages and texts expressing concern and support. I am very sorry that I cannot reply to each one individually."

She continued, "I am trying to read all of them as much as possible, and I am truly grateful. You can stop worrying now. I will receive treatment step by step and come back healthy and bright as soon as possible so you won’t have to worry anymore."

She added, "I will work hard, so until then, please take care of yourselves and don’t get sick. Don’t forget to wear masks. Since the weather has been cold, then hot, and rainy, please be careful not to catch a cold. Thank you so much. Once again, I sincerely apologize. Everyone, fighting!"

Earlier, on the 3rd, Kwon Mina revealed that Jimin, who was the leader of AOA during her time in the group, had bullied her for over 10 years, which led her to attempt an extreme act.

Following Kwon Mina’s revelation, Jimin posted and then deleted a message calling it a "novel." As the controversy continued, AOA members, including Jimin, visited Kwon Mina’s home to talk, and Jimin reportedly expressed her apologies.

On the 4th, Kwon Mina posted on her social network service (SNS), "I received an apology from Jimin," and said, "I will continue to receive treatment and do my best."

Kwon Mina’s agency, Woori Actors, also released an official statement that day, saying, "Actress Kwon Mina is currently resting and regaining stability. Thanks to the support and love from many people, she has been able to endure this difficult time. The company and Kwon Mina will do their best to continue psychological treatment and help her return in a healthy state."

Later that day, Jimin posted on her SNS, apologizing, "Yesterday, I cried, begged, and cried again. I realized that the feelings Mina has built up toward me over time cannot be easily resolved, and I am truly sorry. I was a leader in my early 20s and was personally lacking in leading the team."

However, Kwon Mina responded angrily to Jimin’s apology post, saying, "You said you begged? I will say what I need to before I go. Yesterday, I said I did that to go on the right path. You should go on the right path first. At least you shouldn’t have lied."

As the controversy surrounding Jimin continued, her agency FNC Entertainment stated, "We apologize for causing concern to many people due to the ongoing issues involving our artist Jimin. Jimin has decided to withdraw from AOA and suspend all entertainment activities from this time onward."
