Gimhae City Art Troupe, Special Broadcast of Support Concert to Overcome 'COVID-19'

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] Gimhae City in Gyeongnam announced on the 10th that it will broadcast the city art troupe's audience-free concert, which was live-streamed through its YouTube channel, on TV.

The concert held on the 27th of last month at the Maru Hall of Gimhae Culture and Arts Center featured a diverse repertoire of 19 pieces over 100 minutes and concluded successfully, recording about 4,000 real-time views.

The specially programmed show "HELLO Festival? Together, Gimhae," designed for viewers to comfortably enjoy the concert at home, will be broadcast five times on local channel 25, Gaya Broadcasting. The first broadcast starts at 3 p.m. on the 10th, followed by reruns at 7:45 p.m. on the 11th, 10 a.m. on the 12th, 10 p.m. on the 13th, and 9 a.m. on the 14th.

A city official said, "Since this event was held to deliver a message of hope to citizens exhausted by the prolonged COVID-19 situation, we hope that citizens who could not watch it live will also enjoy it through the TV program broadcast and have a comforting time through music."

Meanwhile, the Gimhae City Art Troupe, facing difficulties in holding performances with audiences due to COVID-19, has been consistently producing non-face-to-face content by uploading the "Cheer Up, Gimhae!" series and outdoor performance videos on its official YouTube channel and live-streaming audience-free concerts. In the second half of the year, it plans to meet citizens through regular concerts by each art troupe.
