The 1st Hydrogen Mobility+ Show Closes on the 3rd... Achieves Export Consultation Amount of 27 Billion KRW

11 Countries Worldwide, 108 Companies and Organizations Participating... Cumulative Visitors Reach 12,000

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] The "1st Hydrogen Mobility+ Show," held at KINTEX in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi Province, concluded on the 3rd with a cumulative attendance of approximately 12,000 visitors. The exhibition featured 108 companies and organizations from 11 countries worldwide in the fields of hydrogen mobility, hydrogen refueling infrastructure, and hydrogen energy, showcasing a wide range of items across the domestic and international hydrogen industry ecosystem.

The organizing committee, considering the difficulty for overseas buyers to visit the exhibition hall due to the COVID-19 pandemic, promoted online video consultations between participating companies and overseas buyers in collaboration with KOTRA, the co-hosting organization. A total of 22 companies, including Iljin Composite and NK Ether, participated, conducting 42 consultations. As a result, the cumulative export consultation amount reached 27 billion KRW, with 6 billion KRW in contract promotion amount. Export consultations continue through KOTRA's local trade offices even after the exhibition ended.

At the new technology and new product presentation, a total of 10 companies and organizations, including Samchan Energy, Wonil TNI, Doosan Mobility Innovation, Samjung ENC, and Kolon Industries, participated to unveil their technologies and products. Following evaluations by an external judging panel of the presented new technologies and products, Kolon Industries' "Membrane Moisture Control Device for Fuel Cells" was selected as the best technology in the hydrogen mobility category, and Samjung ENC's "Hydrogen Refueling Cooler" was chosen as the best technology in the hydrogen refueling infrastructure category.

On the first day of the event, the 1st Hydrogen Economy Committee, a pan-governmental control tower for the hydrogen economy involving government and private members, was held simultaneously. The International Hydrogen Forum held on the second day aimed to contribute to the activation of the hydrogen industry by strengthening private international cooperation for hydrogen economy revitalization and sharing the status, vision, and strategies of major countries implementing the hydrogen economy. Numerous domestic and international experts participated to present on various topics related to the hydrogen industry ecosystem.

According to a survey conducted among about 600 visitors and participating company representatives during the exhibition period, 68% of visitors expressed satisfaction with the outcomes of business consultations and other visits. Regarding the exhibited content of participating companies, 66% of visitors were satisfied. The online B2B video consultation showed a high satisfaction rate of 78% among buyers.

Jung Man-ki, the organizing committee chairman, said, "The Hydrogen Mobility+ Show, held for the first time this year, was promoted with the goal of becoming a technology exhibition leading global hydrogen technology, a networking exhibition where new policies and opinions are exchanged, and a business exhibition where projects are activated." He added, "We will continue to strive to make the Hydrogen Mobility+ Show the world's best exhibition in the hydrogen field."
